Boy Scout trip to Prickett's Fort

How cute are these little guys? OK, so I am a little biased...my little Tiger is the one on the far left in the green pants.
We had an outing to Prickett's Fort today and the boys learned so much....

...how to start a fire with flint...

...how metal decorations were made for Christmas trees...

...how to make apple butter...

...they feed sheep and tried to catch a chicken...

...by the way...the chicken won.
There was an hour long reenactment of a battle with the Native American Indians and the Pioneers. It was very interesting to watch.

The reenactment followed through to making peace and trading with each other.

At the end of the day, my little man got to hold a muzzle loader and guard the gate for a little while. He ate this up!

Hi Melissa. We love going to the Fort. My son always says he is going to study the history and volunteer there when he is older. I hope he does.
